Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
6ren Pte. Ltd. ("6ren", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-driven SaaS platform (the "Service"). It applies to all users of the Service worldwide.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or via email. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically for any updates. The "Last Updated" date at the end of this document indicates when the latest changes were made.
Important Note: Our Service is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you are under 16, do not use or provide any information on this Service. If we learn we have collected or received personal data from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us immediately.
2. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information from and about users of our Service, including:
- Information You Provide Directly: When you register for an account or use our Service, you may provide certain personal information to us:
- Account Registration Data: For example, your name, email address, phone number, username, password, and any other information you choose to provide when creating an account.
- Profile Information: You may provide additional profile details such as your date of birth, gender, location, and other personal details. Some of this information could be sensitive (for example, birth date or birth time) as it may be used as input for personalized analysis by our Service's algorithms.
- Content and Inquiry Data: Any data you input into the Service to receive analysis or recommendations. This could include responses to questionnaires, personal preferences, goals, scheduling information, or other details you share for the purpose of receiving tailored insights. For instance, you might input your daily routine, interests, or other personal context so that the Service can generate trend analyses or suggestions for you.
- Payment Information: If you make purchases or subscribe to paid features, we (or our third-party payment processors) may collect information necessary to process the payment. This can include billing name, billing address, and payment method details (such as credit card number or payment account info). Note: We do not store full financial account numbers or payment card details on our servers; this information is handled by our payment processors (e.g., when using WeChat Pay, Alipay, or other payment services, their privacy policies will apply to the financial information you provide to them).
- Information We Collect Automatically: As you interact with our Service, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of the Service:
- Usage Data: We collect logs about your activity on the Service, such as the features you use, pages or screens you visit, the time and date of your activities, and the results you obtain. For example, we may log when you requested a trend analysis or received a schedule suggestion.
- Device and Technical Data: We may collect information about the device and internet connection you use to access the Service, including your device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, language, and app version. If you use a mobile device, we might collect the device type, model, and manufacturer.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interaction with the Service and to help us improve your experience. This can include remembering your login session, understanding usage patterns, and tracking referral data. You can control cookies through your browser settings and other tools; however, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
- Information from Third Parties: We may receive information about you from third parties, such as:
- Third-Party Accounts: If you choose to link or sign up using a third-party account (e.g., signing in via Google, WeChat, or other platforms if we support that), we may receive certain profile information from that third-party (like your name or email) as permitted by that service and authorized by you.
- Service Providers: If we utilize analytics providers or advertising partners, they may provide us with aggregate or anonymized information about how users interact with our Service or advertisements (however, we do not currently share personal identifiers with third-party advertisers without your consent).
- Others: If someone invites you to use our Service or shares content with you through the Service, they may provide us with your name and email or other contact information to facilitate that interaction.
We treat all personal data that we collect or receive about you with care and in accordance with applicable law. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent for the collection of your personal data, or otherwise ensure that we have a lawful basis (such as contract performance or legitimate interests) to collect and process the information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes in connection with operating, providing, and improving our Service. These purposes include:
- Providing and Personalizing the Service: We process your information to deliver the Service’s functionality to you. For example:
- Using your profile information and inputs to perform personalized, non-precise analysis and generate culturally-informed suggestions (such as trend insights, schedule recommendations, or interactive pairing matches tailored to you).
- Maintaining your account, authenticating your login, and remembering your settings and preferences.
- Service Improvement and Development: We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how users interact with the Service and to improve our algorithms, features, and user experience. For instance, usage data helps us debug issues, optimize performance, and refine the accuracy of our suggestion models. If we use your raw data for improving the Service (for example, training or refining AI models), we will either anonymize it or obtain necessary permissions as required by law.
- Communication: We use contact information (like your email or phone number) to communicate with you about the Service:
- To send account-related messages such as confirmation emails, password reset links, alerts, or notifications about important updates or security issues.
- To send informational newsletters, updates about new features or services, or promotional offers if you have opted-in to receive such communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
- To respond to your inquiries, support requests, or complaints.
- Transactions and Payments: If you make a purchase or subscribe to paid services, we use your information to process the transaction, manage billing, and fulfill our contractual obligations. This includes sending you receipts or notices regarding your subscriptions.
- Enforcement and Security: We may use data to monitor for and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activities. Information (including automated logs and technical data) helps us ensure the security of the Service, detect and protect against error, abuse, violations of our Terms of Service, or any activity that is illegal or not aligned with our policies.
- Legal Compliance: We may process your personal information to comply with applicable legal obligations, such as financial reporting requirements, tax laws, or responding to lawful requests by government authorities.
- Other Purposes with Consent: If we intend to use your information for a purpose that is not incompatible with the purposes listed above, we will describe that to you at the time of collection and, if required, obtain your consent. We will not use your personal data in ways that are unrelated to the purposes described in this Policy without notifying you and obtaining appropriate consent.
4. How We Share Your Information
We understand the importance of keeping your personal information private. We share personal data only in the ways described below (and in accordance with applicable law):
- With Service Providers and Partners: We employ trusted third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service or to perform services on our behalf, such as:
- Cloud Hosting and Storage Providers: Companies that provide data center, server, and storage facilities to host our application and data.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Analytics Partners: Our Service leverages AI models, including third-party large language model services (for example, OpenRouter LLM or similar AI processing services), to generate personalized analysis and suggestions. This means that certain data you provide (such as your questions or input data for analysis) may be securely transmitted to these AI service providers to process and return the results. We share only the information necessary for them to perform their function, and we require such providers to protect your data and use it solely for providing services to us. For instance, if you input your birth date and a query for a trend insight, that query and related data might be sent to an AI engine through a service like OpenRouter LLM to compute the result, and the response is then returned to our platform.
- Payment Processors: As noted, if you make payments, we use third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, WeChat Pay, Alipay, etc.) to handle payment transactions. These processors will have access to your payment information as necessary to process your payment. They are generally obligated under their own privacy policies to safeguard your information.
- Email and Communication Tools: Services that help us send out email communications, notifications, or provide customer support (such as an email service provider or a live chat support tool). These providers might process your contact info and message content on our behalf.
- Analytics and Usage Monitoring: We may use analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics or similar) that use tracking technologies to collect anonymized or pseudonymized information about how users interact with our Service. This helps us analyze usage patterns and improve the Service.
- With Affiliates: We may share your information with our subsidiaries, parent company, or other affiliated entities, in which case we will require them to honor this Privacy Policy.
- Business Transfers: If 6ren Pte. Ltd. is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your personal data might be transferred to the new entity as part of that transaction. In such cases, we will ensure the successor entity is bound to respect your personal data in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law, and we will notify you (e.g., via email or notice on our website) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
- Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights: We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, such as a court order, subpoena, or other government demand.
- Protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of 6ren, our users, or others, including enforcing our Terms of Service or other agreements.
- Investigate or assist in preventing any violation of law or our policies, including potential fraud or security issues.
- With Your Consent: Apart from the scenarios above, we will seek your consent before sharing your personal data with third parties for purposes not covered by this Privacy Policy. For example, if we ever want to share your information with a third party for their own marketing purposes, we would only do so if you opt-in to such sharing.
Importantly, we do NOT sell or rent your personal data to third-party advertisers or marketing companies. Any sharing of data is solely to support the provision of our Service or as otherwise outlined above.
We strive to anonymize or aggregate data when sharing with third parties where feasible. For instance, we may share aggregated statistical information about usage trends of our Service, but this information will not include personal identifiers.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement a variety of technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include:
- Encryption: We use encryption protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS) to secure data transmitted between your device and our servers. Sensitive data stored in our databases is encrypted at rest where appropriate.
- Access Controls: We limit access to personal data to employees, contractors, and service providers who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve our Service. These parties are subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
- Regular Monitoring: We regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks and conduct periodic security assessments. We also maintain incident response plans to handle any potential data breaches swiftly and effectively.
- Secure Development Practices: Our software development process follows security best practices, including code reviews and testing, to prevent common security vulnerabilities.
- Third-Party Audits: Where applicable, we leverage third-party security tools or audits to further test and enhance the security of our platform.
However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulatory authorities as required by law.
6. Your Rights and Choices
We respect your rights regarding your personal data. Subject to applicable law (such as Singapore's PDPA, the EU's GDPR, or other relevant regulations), you may have some or all of the following rights concerning the personal information we hold about you:
- Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide you with a copy of the information in a commonly used format, subject to some exceptions (for example, we may not provide information that would unreasonably affect the privacy of other individuals or proprietary information).
- Correction: You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data that we have about you. You can also update some of your own information directly through your account settings.
- Deletion: You have the right to request deletion (erasure) of your personal data. Upon your request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize your personal information, except to the extent we are permitted or required to retain it by law (for example, for legal compliance, tax, audit, or security purposes). Note that removal from our active databases may not mean deletion from all backup systems immediately, but we will ensure that your information is no longer actively processed.
- Withdrawal of Consent: If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. For example, you can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link or adjusting your account settings if available. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, and it may affect your ability to continue using certain features of the Service that rely on the data in question.
- Objection and Restriction: You have the right to object to or request that we restrict our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. For instance, you may object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests, and we will consider your request. You may also request that we restrict processing if you contest the accuracy of the data or if the processing is unlawful (but you do not want it erased).
- Portability: To the extent required by applicable law, you may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and you may have the right to transmit that data to another service provider.
- Complaints: If you believe that we have infringed your privacy rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a relevant supervisory authority or privacy regulator. In Singapore, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you can contact your local Data Protection Authority.
To exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests to ensure that we do not disclose personal data to the wrong person. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe as required by law.
Please note that these rights may be subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable law. For example, we may not be able to delete data that is required to fulfill our contract with you or that we are legally required to keep.
7. International Data Transfers
6ren is based in Singapore, but we operate a global service. As such, your personal data may be transferred to, stored, or processed in countries other than your home country. For example:
- Our servers or service providers (such as cloud hosting services, or AI processing services like OpenRouter) may be located in jurisdictions outside of your country.
- The information we collect may be processed by staff or contractors in countries worldwide, including Singapore, the United States, the European Union, or other locations where we or our service providers maintain facilities.
Data Protection Measures for International Transfers: When we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. These safeguards may include:
- Contractual clauses (such as standard data protection clauses adopted by relevant regulators) in our agreements with third parties that require them to protect your personal data.
- Transferring data to jurisdictions that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection by relevant authorities (for example, decisions by the European Commission).
- Implementing technical measures such as encryption and pseudonymization to add additional layers of protection.
By using our Service or providing us with your information, you consent to the transfer of your personal data to other countries as described in this section, including those which may have different data protection rules than your country. However, we will always handle your personal information in accordance with this Policy.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. In general:
- For active accounts, we retain personal data for as long as your account is in use or as needed to provide you with the Service.
- If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will either delete your information or anonymize it so that it no longer identifies you, subject to the exceptions described below.
- We may retain certain data after account deletion if necessary for:
- Legal compliance: e.g., retaining transaction records for financial regulations or keeping records required by law.
- Legitimate business interests: e.g., maintaining records of agreements or past transactions for dispute resolution or enforcement of our Terms.
- Safety and fraud prevention: e.g., retaining information to detect or prevent future fraud or abuse, or to protect our systems.
- Backup and archival purposes: Some data might remain in routine backups or archival records that are not readily accessible, but such backups will be protected and eventually rotate out and be overwritten in the normal course of business.
- When we no longer have a legitimate need or legal obligation to keep your personal data, we will securely dispose of it or permanently anonymize it.
9. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our Service may, from time to time, contain links to third-party websites or integrate with services that are not operated by us (for example, a link to an article, or integration with a social media platform for login). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites or services. If you click on a third-party link or use a third-party service, you will be directed to that third party's site or service, which has its own privacy policy and practices.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every site or service you interact with. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we update the policy, we will change the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this document. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as by email notification or a notice within the Service).
We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the Service after any update to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the changes, to the extent permitted by law.
